Anca Stefan (she/her) serves as National Organizer of Liberation Road and is an elected member of its leadership team. She is firmly rooted in the fight for public schools and public sector unions in the US South where she first began organizing against Jim Crow in a post-9/11 society. A first generation Romanian-American and a Marxist feminist, Anca is deeply invested in rebuilding and strengthening the Left; she takes a special interest in questions of organizational infrastructure, culture, and leadership development. She considers North Carolina her home, and lives in Durham with her daughter and partner, alongside a beloved community of former students and movement family.
